The front and back covers feature an original Natural History Collage drawn from the novel’s undersea world: marine life, exploration, and the quiet strangeness of the deep.
Inside, the journal opens with three introductory pages that pair selected excerpts from the novel with vintage natural history illustrations, forming a curated Literary Field Guide before the writing space begins.
